Oh boy it is about to get fun in New York. With Republican's positioned to lose New York Congressional District 13 due to Vito Fossella's untimely resignation, and the death yesterday of the hand picked candidate running for his seat, the
state senate's GOP leader is resigning.
I'm no big fan of Senator Majority Leader Bruno but unless his seat is safe this essentially will end any power the GOP will have in this state. Of course taking a step back might be good for the party. They need to develop a better plan for growing the party if they ever want to fix the budget, hostile business environment, or the state's debt.
If you want an idea of how bad the leadership is managing the party in this state you only need to look at
this to understand how horrible the leadership at every level is. Obviously Bronx County is not a republican base but nor is it lacking in a base. It is deplorable that the party's website looks like that.
